From sick to sicker

Well I can honestly say this has been one of the worst experiences in the last one year we have had with Savannah being sick. From being diagnosed with Croup Monday July 30th it was downhill from there. Fever would not go down it stayed at 101, it went as high as 104.5. First trip to emerg Monday July 30th, second trip to emerg Thursday August 2nd she was so lethargic and her fever was still high, chest x-ray(that was a nightmare in itself), blood work she is anemic then they say she has another infection, after 7 hours at the hospital and given amoxicillin we went home. Then Saturday August 4th back again still very lethargic and high fever, met with her paediatrician who was on call (thank god), he ears were cleaned out to find major ear infection. The amoxicillin she is so immune to it she cannot take it anymore. So for those of you who have had this problem Savannah was given Cethazil, (I think that is how you spell it). Later that day, she was nearly admitted but we went home and tried this one it is so hard to get her to take she is spitting it out. Plus she now had four infections. She lost 1lb and can't afford to. We can't seem to get her past 20.5 lbs. Well by then it was Sunday/Monday August 6th and we noticed some improvement, little fever but still the croupy cough and still cranky. Tuesday this week she went for her 2 year check up and she had either side of her mouth White Marks the Doctor said its because she has been so stressed out with hospital visits. So then we decided to go up to the cottage and get away for 2.5 days. It's now Friday and she is on her way to recovery, our next step would have been sick kids. What a brace little girl she is, taken so much medication, Tylenol, Advil. We stopped the swimming lessons, we were told way too much going on in the water for these little ones to pick up, so we will wait until next year. I have attached a photo or two at the cottage, plus one at home and one in her stroller visiting Barney at Ontario Place. So that' s all I have right now its been a tough 3 weeks in all, now getting Ross ready to leave for Ottawa University.
