Updates - November 20th, 2006

Well this Sunday we decided to take Savannah to the Santa Claus parade downtown Toronto. We went from Kipling on the Subway (first time for me to) and got off at Bloor/Bay. It was freezing, Savannah lasted all of one hour we never even had a chance to see Santa. She was more interested in the helicopters flying above us. Saturday we went to the Red Thread Group and met up with a couple of their two girls. One of the girls is from the same orphanage as Savannah. It was great to see how the girls are coming along. I am starting to dislike going into the stores with Savannah, she screams and points to the chocolate and I say no especially if around meal time. Then today she grabbed the gum and would not let go. She is not a shopper at all, I think I mentioned this in a few posts back. Her new words so far are juice, hat, cup, so I think we are up to 10 words. The clearest are mama, dada, cat, ball, cup, milk, no, hi. We have books A-Z and if I ask her to find for example: apple she will pull out the letter "A" book, and for dog the "D", there are a couple more she can do, so we think she is recognizing her letters. Still nowhere with colours yet. Well we are suppose to go out on Dec 1st, to a xmas party and our son will babysit. This will be our first time out since coming back from China. Savannah's new one with the dog is she sits down at the bowl and hand feeds the dog maybe I already mentioned this but is so funny to watch but also so gross. Well we have our six month post placement meeting this Wednesday, we are looking forward to seeing our social worker. Only 3 more weeks before we have a house full, yes sister 3 kids and spouse. I would like to take Savannah to meet Santa next week in our town but not sure if she will sit still, if she will I will attach photo. Her new trick, is trying to climb on the coffee table, and jump down the hallway, or stand on one leg. I think she's a gymnast.
