From Swimming to Sick

Well this has been a bad week for Savannah, Sunday she started with a sore throat we went to emerg with a fever Sunday night at 11pm to find out it was strep and then into Monday her tongue was white and big bumps, turns out to be Thrush in the mouth Monday night she went onto another medication. Just for you all out there, Savannah was on Amoxicillin for the strep and then on to Nystatin for the thrush. Amoxicillin was making it worse so she had to stop that one. (advised by her paedatrician) Trust me this is very painful, she did not eat/drink for 3 days, I was at my wits end not knowing what to give her. (ended up with Heinz baby food). She lost weight (can't afford to loose weight), and cried and screamed up to 6-10 / night, Dave and I took turns taking time off work. By Friday (today) she is on the mend and in daycare 90% better, I would not want to see anyone go through this painful infection. Savannah weighs 20lbs but again is smart as a whip, built 12 blocks (yes 12) last night on top of each other. Tells Daddy off lot's of times, pours us out tea at her tea parties and tell's daddy to wait. Swimming lessons started last week, she loves swimming. This week I have let her wear pull ups too sick to run to the bathroom, however when she wants to go we have to run, as Savannah will say quick mommy poopy, which she means pee pee. I have not included any photos yet but will next time. Savannah was missed by her friends at daycare, Dave said today they all hugged her and kissed her since she was away for 4 days (how cute). Savannah amazes me so much hos flexible she is, she sits in the splits position, can turn her arms around like she is double jointed, goes upstairs on her own, downstairs. She slept in her big bed for the first time this week, but in her crib last night. I don't want to rush her, we want to enjoy her as a little angel for as long as we can, once they hit the teens watch out. Whenever Savannah and I go out she sees I grab my purse and she has to grab hers, its so funny she is like a little mommy. Not sure if I mentioned but we are now only waiting for her 2 year old molars all the other teeth came in yippeee!!!!!!!!!. One thing I love about bathing Savannah is, her hair once washed its like silk so soft and shines like a star its so adorable. I will not cut her hair for a long time, I lover her bangs even though I don't get them straight. Hope to update soon with more photos.
